In collaboration with the Indiana Department of Transportation and local businesses, Southern Indiana Power and Hoosier Energy established a Level 3 Supercharging electric vehicle (EV) station at Dale Exit 57A. This effort is part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program, funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), allocating $5 billion over five years to deploy EV chargers along highway corridors. The goal is to accelerate EV adoption, providing Americans with increased access to electrified transportation’s economic and environmental benefits.
