Kankakee Valley REMC is dedicated to providing reliable electricity to our member-consumers.  Sometimes to meet the growing electrical needs in an area, we must build new infrastructure. 

If you have traveled along Highway 39 in North Judson over the past few months, you may have noticed a new substation.  This substation, Lena Park, sits on the southeast corner of State Road 39 and 800 South.  Lena Park will allow Kankakee Valley REMC to provide an increased level of power quality and reliability to our member-consumers in the greater North Judson area. This includes North Judson, San Pierre, Medaryville, Denham and Ripley.   In addition, this substation will allow us to meet current member load growth and handle future growth as well.  

The substation will be in service beginning in early 2020.
