Pursuant to the Indiana Rural Electric Membership Cooperative Act, legal notice is hereby given by Dubois Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc., that said Cooperative is holding funds for certain past or current consumers of electrical energy from the Cooperative representing capital credits distributions previously authorized by the Cooperative Board of Directors and held for a period of two (2) years or more on which prior distributions have been unsuccessful.

A copy of such distributees is listed on the Cooperative’s website (duboisrec.com). A copy of the list may also be obtained at the cooperative’s business office at 1400 Energy Drive, Jasper, Indiana. Persons set forth on such list desiring to file claim for any unclaimed distribution subsequent to the above date must file claim with the Cooperative within sixty (60) days after the publication of this notice.

Thereafter, any unclaimed credit shall be returned to the capital credit account and allocated among all remaining members. Any claim must be supported by proof of rightful ownership or legitimate representation and State approved identification. Refunds of capital credits are only made under certain conditions. It is the Board of Directors responsibility to determine that a refund will not adversely impact the financial condition of this Cooperative and will comply with the Bylaws and loan covenants before the Board grants approval.
