Operation Round Up allows Southern Indiana Power members to work together to help others. Thank you to those members who round up their electric bills to the next highest dollar each month. Since the inception of the program in 2006, grants have been awarded to local organizations totaling over $370,112. Your small change is really making a big difference for organizations in our community.
The Southern Indiana Power Community Trust recently presented eight grants totaling $18,590 to the following organizations:

St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department received $3,000 toward the purchase of a mechanical CPR chest compression machine.
- Anderson Township Fire Department received $2,500 toward the purchase of a set of turnout gear.
- Perry County Health Department received $2,000 to purchase lead care II testing machine and lead reagent test kits.
- Perry County 4-H Fairgrounds received $3,000 to help with repainting and sealing the roofs of three buildings at the fairgrounds.
- Grandview Civic Association received $3,890 to replace its furnace with air conditioning at the Grandview Civic Center Building.
- Scenic Lincoln Way received $1,500 to purchase a sound system for children’s story hour and other programming on the caboose and excursion train.
- Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana received $1,600 to support third through fifth grade programs at Rockport Elementary.
- Tell City High School Culinary Arts Program received $1,100 to purchase various equipment to promote skills and offer catering services to non-profit organizations.
The Southern Indiana Power Community Trust also presented four $500 scholarships to the following individuals:
- Lacey Peter attended Perry Central High School and plans to attend IU Southeast in the fall.
- Carolyn Burroughs is a Heritage Hills High School graduate and plans to attend Indiana University.
- David Teague graduated from Tell City High School and plans to attend Indiana University.
- Sarah Luecke attended Heritage Hills High School and plans to attend Purdue University in the fall.
