Southern Indiana Power’s Operation Round Up program recently awarded $15,891 in grants to local community organizations in need of assistance. Those organizations receiving funds are:

St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Dept. — new battery-operated extrication tools.

Tell City Jr. Sr. High School — necessities for students in need

Santa Claus Community Center — trash receptacles and waste containers

Rome Community Center — new tables for historic Rome Courthouse

Perry County EMA — two AEDs
