Tipmont REMC has partnered with Osmose Utilities to conduct pole testing beginning in September. The testing will occur around the Layton substation, which is located in western Fountain County in the area of Veedersburg.

Contractors will drive trucks, ATVs and other vehicles around our rights-of-way to inspect poles.

Tipmont tests poles every 10 to 15 years to ensure the wood is in good condition and to help maintain our high reliability standard. Any poles found to be deficient will be replaced or repaired as needed.
