October is National Co-op Month, and electric cooperatives across the country are highlighting the many ways we “Power On.” Keeping this theme in mind, I want to assure you that Decatur County REMC will continue to find ways to power on through COVID, through difficult times and will remain your trusted resource for energy and information.

As we move into the last quarter of the year, we are preparing the budget for 2021 and beginning our next strategic planning process to move our cooperative forward.  Through the strategic planning process, we will determine the vision for the future of our cooperative and the direction we need to take to get there.

We are working diligently to do our part in listening, hearing concerns, sharing information and providing opportunities to connect.  I encourage you to do your part and engage.  Become an active member in your cooperative by attending meetings, events, reading information shared in the Indiana Connection magazine or enewsletter, participate in townhall meetings, ask questions and be willing to share.  My team and I are very passionate about this cooperative and the members and communities we serve because we live here, our children go to school here, and our friends and neighbors mean the world to us.

We can best move this cooperative forward when everyone works together. I encourage you to bring me and my team your problems, issues and questions. We can be most productive and move this cooperative forward with your participation and if you’re engaged in creating the change. I challenge you to become involved and help develop solutions to create the change you want to see. Let’s POWER ON.
