Honey-Cheesecake Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cut in pieces
  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese
  • 2 T. milk
  • ½ t. vanilla

Directions

To prepare crust, combine flour and sugar in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Press into greased 8 x 8 baking dish. Bake at 350 F for 12–15 minutes. Cool on rack.

To prepare filling, place honey, egg, lemon juice, cream cheese, milk and vanilla in bowl. Beat until smooth. Spoon filling over crust. Bake at 350 F for 35 minutes. Cool in dish on wire rack. Cut into squares.
