In honor of Earth Day, members can bring specific items to the office to be recycled or documents to be shredded on Friday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Recycling reduces the amount of hazardous waste that is generated in our landfills.
Only the following items will be accepted:
- Batteries
- Cables
- CDs
- Cell phones
- Circuit boards
- Computers
- Consumer electronics
- Game consoles
- Ink and toner cartridges
- IT equipment
- Keyboards
- Laptops
- Computer mice
- Modems
- Monitors
- MP3 players
- Network equipment
- Phone systems
- Printers
- Routers
- Satellite boxes
- Servers
- Speakers
- Switches
- Telecom equipment
- UPS units
- Video games
- Wire
- Small appliances
Please note: No TVs (tube or flat screen), CRT monitors or microwaves will be accepted. To ensure that all members are able to take advantage of this event, we are limiting each membership to two (11×17) boxes of documents for shredding. (See image to the right!) The REMC has the right to restrict what members bring for recycling or shredding.
