As we head into the last month of 2024, I would like to reflect on the year that has passed and celebrate our co-op community. We are proud of what we have achieved as a cooperative this year. We are thankful for the support of the membership as we worked hard to provide the best possible service to you.

Early in the year, we decided to host more in-person events where members could speak with us. We are proud to say we had two successful new events this year.

The first event was our electric car show. The event allowed members to come in and ask questions of those driving electric cars each day. It allowed them to learn more about the electric vehicle (EV) industry and things to consider if they are in the market to purchase a new EV.

The other event was our Meet the Candidates event. Each year, we have board seats up for election. This year, we had four board seats up for election, and several members were running for those seats. We wanted to provide an opportunity for members to come in and speak with current board members and see what the new candidates running felt were important issues facing HC REMC and the future of the electric industry.

We enjoyed talking with our members and sharing what we were doing with capital credits, Operation Round Up, and more.

Our team continues to rebuild trouble lines and perform general maintenance while staying current on new developments in the electric industry so that we can continue to provide excellent service to our members.

In this season of giving and gratitude, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. May this holiday season be filled with joy and happiness. As we move into 2025, we promise to continue to work safely to provide you with the most reliable, cost-effective electricity possible. Thank you for being part of the HC REMC family.

Cheers to a great 2025!
