Every summer, Jay County REMC invites incoming seventh graders to apply for a camp experience unlike any other summer camp. Camp Kilowatt, formerly called Touchstone Energy Camp, allows students to learn about the electric cooperative industry and electricity, participate in fun summer activities, and make new friends. 

This four-day and three-night camp included tons of fun outdoor activities like swimming, canoeing, zip-lining, archery, horseback riding, a climbing wall, field games and campfires. 

This year, we were excited to send, from left, Alexus Schoenlein, Portland, East Jay Elementary; Renna Hurt, Bryant, Bloomfield Elementary; Makayla Bishop, Dunkirk, West Jay Elementary; and Peyton Schoenlein, Portland, East Jay Elementary.

Information and an applications for the 2023 Camp Kilowat will be available late this year or early in 2023.
