Your electric cooperative strives to balance maintaining beautiful surroundings for our local community and ensuring a reliable power supply by keeping power lines clear in the right-of-way.  Trimming back trees, especially during the winter months, decreases outages caused by fallen tree limbs during storms with high winds, heavy snow and ice. 

Our contract crews will be trimming in the following townships:

• Lake County: All areas served by KV REMC.
• Porter County: Union, Porter, Boone, Pleasant and Morgan townships.
• Starke County: Wayne, Cass, Rich Grove, Jefferson, Franklin, Monroe, Railroad and White Post townships.
