The Bruce and Sharon Nesius Memorial Scholarship is awarded to three area high school seniors each year. This year’s recipients are Kayla Bonicontro from Kankakee Valley High School, who plans to study biology on a pre-med track at the University of Iowa; Haley Graf from Rensselaer Central High School, who will attend Kansas State University to study feed and pet food science; and Braden McKay from West Central High School, who is planning to study finance.
