In August, Electricom, Marshall County REMC’s contractor, began building out the smart grid (shown in the map above). 

Contractors will have several crews working in the highlighted areas on the map at one time. All trucks will be labeled with the Marshall County REMC logo. The project is expected to take 90 days to complete.

Completion of the smart grid will help Marshall County REMC conserve energy, reduce costs, increase reliability and make the electric system more efficient.
