If you haven’t already, let me invite you to join our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn). Those are places where we share a lot of information with our members, such as community events, energy tips, outage updates, and co-op news. Recently we posted on Facebook that our IT department applied for and received a $50,000 cybersecurity prize from the RMUC ACT 1 program, a huge accomplishment and something that will help increase our cybersecurity efforts without impacting our budget.
Among the many members who took the time to share their thoughts and appreciation, one comment stood out among the rest, from Max in New Albany, “Clark County REMC is the best utility company, bar none, that we’ve had in our 54-plus years of marriage, literally from Virginia to Illinois to Florida to California and Indiana! Congratulations to these guys for being an integral part of the best!”
Wow! Thank you, Max, for your kind words. To be the best we can be, we have to work hard in all areas: a reliable and resilient electric grid, strong and secure finances, timely and meaningful communications, materials that are stocked and ready to go at a moment’s notice, and yes, a robust and multi-layered cybersecurity strategy. Combine those with a board of directors who cares about their community and an employee culture that values trust, respect, and authenticity, and you have a recipe for success and a co-op you can be proud of.
Max, let me join you in thanking the Clark County REMC team for being the best around. And you have my word that we will keep striving to bring you the excellent service you deserve.
