Members of Heartland REMC will vote for three board seats at this year’s annual meeting on June 24.
Potential candidates have until April 10 to file for nomination. To file as a candidate, you must secure the signatures of at least 20 Heartland REMC members. The person signing the petition must be the member of record and not a spouse. All signatures are verified. The signatures can come from any district in Heartland REMC’s service territory and are not limited to only the district in which the candidate resides.
A potential candidate can only seek election for the district in which they live. Members interested in running for a seat can visit heartlandremc.com or call your district office to determine if you are eligible to run based on the district maps.
Packets for potential candidates are now available at both the Wabash and Markle offices during regular business hours. A candidate must pick up the packet before obtaining the member signatures.
All registered Heartland REMC members are eligible to vote at the annual meeting held on June 24.
