Pursuant to the law of the State of Indiana (I.C. 8-1-13-11) and the Bylaws and Policy of Daviess-Martin County REMC, the notice of unclaimed capital credits is being made, and DMREMC is taking steps to remind current and former members of the prior distribution of capital credits. This list will be posted on the Daviess-Martin County REMC website homepage (dmremc.com) starting Dec. 13, 2024.
Active and former members must claim any cash retirement or capital credits within two (2) years after payment has been made available to such person. This year’s unclaimed credits were released in 2022 and were for the years of 1993, 1994, and 1995.
Interested individuals should review the Unclaimed Capital Credits list and call the DMREMC office during regular business hours at 812-295-4200 to gather details on the amount owed to the individual. A request for retirement of capital credits can be filled out from the Claim Form link on our website.
Once claimed, members will receive a bill credit or check for unclaimed prior years’ retirement amounts within the 60-day period. If said credits are not duly claimed within sixty (60) days between Dec. 13, 2024, and Feb. 13, 2025, the sum owing by the cooperative to any member shall be treated as donated cash.
