French Lick

June 21 | $35

French Lick has been called one of the hidden gems of the Midwest.  Wander through the shops in the French Lick Springs Hotel and in town.  Have lunch at 33 Brick Street where many of Larry Bird’s sports memorabilia are displayed.  You can also try your luck at the casino.  We will gather at the bus and ride to the West Baden Springs Hotel and view the soaring 200 foot dome and see the award-winning restorations during a tour of the hotel.  Tour cost is included.

We will not be picking up in Georgetown for this trip. We will leave Corydon at 9 a.m. and will return by 5 p.m.

The Ark Encounter  

Aug. 23 | $70 for adults, $65 for seniors

Visit a full size Noah’s Ark built to the dimensions given in the Bible.  The largest timber framed structure in the world is filled with world class exhibits designed to answer your questions about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark.  A visit to the onsite Ararat Ridge Zoo is included.  You can lunch in Emzara’s Kitchen, a two story, casual restaurant which includes a buffet and provides gluten free items.  There are also a couple of sweet shops to keep your energy up.  Entrance fee is included in cost.

Payment for this trip must be at the REMC office by Wednesday, July 26. We will leave Corydon at 7 a.m. and will return by 6 p.m.

Metamora  

Oct. 6 | $43

The center of Metamora is a blend of old businesses and homes holding antiques and specialty shops with gifts, collectibles, and home and garden items.  Local artists and master craftsmen provide many treasures.  We will be visiting during Canal Days.  The street will be filled with vendors and food booths.  Included in the cost is a ride on the horse drawn Ben Franklin III boat through the canal for a 30 minute tour of this historic site.

We will leave Corydon at 6:30 a.m. and will return by 6:30 p.m.

Opry Mills Mall

All aboard for the Christmas shopping we all love! There are more than 200 stores with a half dozen places to eat all in one building. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because it’s a long way around the mall!

We will leave Corydon at 7:30 a.m. and will return by 8:30 p.m.

A minimum of 30 people is required for each trip. Payment is due three weeks before the scheduled trip with exception of the Ark Encounter. Pickup locations are Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon and Edwardsville UM Church in Edwardsville. No refunds will be issued after ticket is purchased unless the REMC cancels the trip.
