Josh VanVactor began working at Marshall County REMC in 2007. He became a lineman because he likes being able to work outside in a hands-on environment. He also thought it would be rewarding to do a job that most are afraid to try. His favorite part about being a lineman is the fact that no day is the same — there are always new challenges — and the satisfaction of getting a customer’s power on after a storm. 

VanVactor and his wife, Ashley, have two sons — Jaden, 15, and Brylen, 11. He enjoys traveling, being outside and coaching his son’s soccer and basketball team.
