Every person, family, and business has had to adapt to our new way of life since the pandemic began. However, a few things haven’t changed. We are still committed to delivering reliable, affordable electricity to our members, to being a positive force in our community, and to providing outstanding member service in every interaction. Of course, as the general manager, that’s what I’m supposed to say. So don’t take my word for it. Let me share with you a member’s story about a recent experience with REMC.
Kayla Cox of Sellersburg shared, “We were moving in over the weekend when all of a sudden, the power went out … We took some time to take a much needed break from moving, and by the time we finished dinner, the electric was up and running again! Having moved from Indianapolis, we had no idea what to expect from Clark County REMC during an outage, and we were so pleasantly surprised by how it was handled! Thank you for giving us a positive move-in story to remember!”
Kayla, I’m glad we were able to exceed your expectations. No one likes power outages, but we work hard to restore power quickly and safely. There’s another great story on page 6. In future issues, you’ll read about Annual Meeting memories and lifelong friendships between Youth Tour students. Each story was submitted by an REMC member during our celebration of co-op month in October. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I did, and I look forward to making more great memories serving you in 2021.
