Steuben County REMC is proud to announce our newest addition to the cooperative. Gaven Kolb joined the right-of-way maintenance crew this past October. He grew up in Coldwater, Michigan, where he and his older brother, Kyle (who serves in the Army and is currently stationed in Texas), helped their dad on the family farm. After high school, Kolb worked at Forest River Inc. in Middlebury, an RV manufacturing company.
He heard about the job opening with the cooperative and thought it sounded intriguing.
“I had heard that it was an incredible company to work for and that the people were great,” he said.
Having grown up working with heavy equipment, he found the job to be a perfect fit.
“I really enjoy working with my hands, being outside, and working with equipment,” Kolb said. “And everyone I talked to said the co-op was a great place to work.”
In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and doing anything outdoors. He has a few labs that he breeds and uses them to waterfowl hunt. Kolb thinks of himself as approachable and wants our membership to know that he is here to ensure that they have the best service we can possibly provide.
Please help us in welcoming him to the REMC family.
