The Heartland REMC Annual Meeting will be held Saturday, June 24, at the Huntington County Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and will last until 12:30 p.m.
One important item for all members to be aware of is the election. Once members have registered, they will receive a ballot and can immediately cast their vote in the 2023 Board of Directors election. There are three director seats up for election this year. All directors are elected “at-large,” which means members have the right to vote for directors in all three districts.
After registering and casting your ballot, you will be treated to a buffet lunch provided by Nelson’s BBQ.
The Huntington Dairy Queen outlets will be providing free ice cream and the Ossian Conversation Club will have free sugar corn. There will be several vendors on hand as well, including TransWorld Network with information on the ongoing broadband initiative.
The business meeting is set for 1 p.m., and Heartland REMC members can learn about the progress of the cooperative over the last year. Near the end of the meeting, a random drawing will be held, and 20 scholarships will be awarded to students whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are members of
Heartland REMC.
Don’t forget to bring your postcard to get through registration faster. We can’t wait to see you there!
