Clark County REMC lineman John Beckman takes two young fairgoers on a bucket ride.

At Clark County REMC, no one is more important than our members, and that includes children. After all, they’re our members-in-training! We provide a wide variety of programs that benefit our local youth such as safety demonstrations; community youth events; Touchstone Energy Camp for incoming seventh graders; Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., for juniors; scholarships for graduating seniors; and much more. We also sponsor trophies for the Clark and Scott County 4-H fairs and make other donations to youth programs within our community.

Modeling a lineman’s belt was great fun for this young lady.

In July, Clark County REMC hosted a booth at the Clark County 4-H Fair. Members who presented their Co-op Connections Card were eligible to win daily prizes along with a grand prize valued at $125! Children ages 5-15 were invited to take bucket truck rides soaring as high as 60 feet in the air, and were given free plastic hard hats to take home.

Our commitment to the community and those we serve makes us different from other utilities. Clark County REMC emphasizes the cooperative difference by providing real value for even our youngest members. Look in our publications and on our website all year long to apply for our youth programs.
